Learning to be a professional poker dealer can be fun and exciting, but like any other profession, there is a learning curve that includes hard work and dedication.

You often hear somebody say “I know how to deal” but most likely that person has very little idea of what it takes to become a “good poker dealer”.

It is not as easy as it looks and proper training is what separates the “pro” from the “wanna-be”.

Our Poker-Dealer Training Class offers the following:

• 6 week course (Mon, Wed, Fri 12pm - 4pm)
   
• Game Concentration:
  • Texas Hold'em tournament style and cash play
  • Omaha
  • Stud
  
  
• Materials include:
  • Class manual
  • Chip set with cards
  • THE PROFESSIONAL POKER DEALER’S HANDBOOK
  
  
• 42 basic steps of dealing are taught in a video presentation form; processing a series of steps woven together to seamlessly execute an entire hand of poker start to finish.
  
  You will learn all the mechanics, techniques, responsibilities and processes required of a professional poker dealer including:
  • rules
  • proper procedure
  • poker terminology
  • shuffling
  • pitching
  • placement of cards
  • cutting chips
    
  • chip transactions
  • reading of hands
  • table control
  
  
• What really makes this class great is the teaching of game technique, control, and mindset that makes dealing fluid and smooth; almost second nature. This is the part of class that requires time and concentration while offering a greater appreciation for the art of poker dealing. A lot of fun as you can feel it “coming together”. Practice and hard work are involved.
   
• OPPORTUNITIES ahead:
  Upon completion you will not doubt be anxious to go out and start making money and having fun dealing. There are many outlets in Central Florida to start. We have contacts for many of those and have former students currently gaining valuable experience (no substitute for experience!) with these companies.

Two of our past graduates have worked those shows and taken that experience and are now working at the DBKC Poker Room.
